Spring is finally around the corner and something drivers may not think about is the fair weather motorcyclist!
Not all motorycists ride their bikes throughout the winter so as soon as the sun comes out, they exchange 4 wheels for 2!
Riding on dry roads is reasonably safe but rain, after a long dry spell, can cause the roads to become extremely hazardous. Various fluids such as oil and diesel, from vehicles are deposited on the road surface and when it rains, because oil and water don’t mix, the road surface becomes very slippery.
So, next time you go out in your car make sure you spare a thought for the motorcyclist riding up behind you and check beside you BEFORE you indicate to pull out!
